On page 145 of John Norwood's book Rio Grande Narrow Gauge Recollections, there is the following...

"Modernization of the property under the guidance of Trustee Wilson McCarthy and Henry Swan encouraged a contest in Green Light for a streamlined adaptation of Rio Grande name. The design submitted by Miss Laura Bramkamp, now retired from the Purchasing department, was accepted and is still in use, having first appeared on company publicity in Fall of 1939."
