Just for the record it should be reitterated that the current paint scheme on the 489 is wrong and is not historical. It's a shame that all the time and money spent to restore to operating condition--and then it's painted like a circus train so to speak. If the C&TS is going to advertise itself as a museum and have it's goal of recreating historical accuracy then it should do so-there are thousands of pictures out there of K-36's over there lifetimes with the Rio Grande so there is no excuse for them to get it that wrong--who made the call to paint it like that--I don't know but they need to get some more insight on keeping things in a correct historical aspect. I don't know why people don't want these locomotives to look like there supposed to look--it boggles my mind. It should be fixed--if this was a privately owned railroad then so be it--but when your mission states that your going to try and keep the assets etc historical then you should do just that.
