we walked from glencoe towards dolores about 3 or 4 years ago, and the roadbed was very pronounced where we were. All little trestles are mostly gone, and large rocks have fallen on the roadbed. I belive there is a road on the final approach into dolores, but Im not completely sure. Others might have more info on this.

While we were there though, the attendant at the dolores depot did tell us they had already aquired track and were waiting on permits to lay rails....that was 4 years ago...
