I rode on both Monday and Wednesday last week. Just after we departed on Monday someone commented about the large smile on my face. It was there for the entire three days.
I'd like to add my thanks to everyone involved in the labor of love that went into restoring 315 and also the enormous effort in staging such a magnificant event on the C&TS. Luckly I did have a chance to talk with George, John Parker and Fred Folk from the DRHS. I'd also like to thank Alan Loomis who really worked hard on staging all of the run bys while also educating a few of us on the wild flowers along the track.
It was a great opportunity to meet some of the fellow forum members like Steve, Herb, Roger and the Texas crew. Also it was special meeting Jim from Trains Magazine.
D Ryan: Are you the young man with your mother and father from NY? If so, I was with you at the water tank when we were all wondering if they would stop and pick us up.
Thanks again to everyone involved in this effort!! Lets do this again!!!
