Ed,
I totally agree with you on the slrg deeming it "right and proper" to operate steam. Alamosa is I would say the mid post right smack in between ng country so it is nice that it breaks it up in the sense that it is standard gauge. I am with everyone in saying that I need to go up and see that railroad one of these weekends and video tape the line because there aren't to many videos on youtube about #18 yet or many videos of that line like the cumbres and toltec and the durango and silverton have videos of their lines.
