By "reading in between the lines" in both attachments, it might be that the "train" is actually a set of mine trams that were moved about by either gravity, horses or mules. I doubt that a locomotive exists. I feel this way because the "train" experienced few stresses on its dive to the bottom - so few that the cars are apparently coupled together, with many still containing their loads. If the train thus "drifted" down to the bottom it stands to reason that the locomotive would be there too.Or else there was a locomotive and it was raised later because of its value whereas the tramcars could be replaced easily.

Makes for some interesting conjecture!! Thanks for posting!
