Work continues on the line! Even in the city, untill the STB tells us we can't. The owner is planning passenger rides on the line starting in late June. This will happend with or with out the last mile into town. the Only thing is, the riders won't be able to go into Creede (IF creede wins) The line was opened up to the Creede depot last October. The Final paved over Hwy 149 crossing should be replaced very soon. I just went down there two weeks ago with a load of ties. While down there, we Cleared the line of rocks, trees, and snow drifts.
Also for those interested, South Fork now has a Depot! It is in the process of being restored, but is on its new foundation next to the line.
