John...You, Jay and myself are singing the same "tell us something" song.
I posted on the Goat last week that C&TS needs to let go of more info more often, probably on their website, which usually contains not much. NOT proprietary, NOT personal stuff, just SOME official, rumor-quashing news notes.
I then got blasted for wanting the RR to hang out its dirty laundry, that a PR person would give us nothing but "everything's is swell" propaganda, that it would be info overload that most everybody could care less about.
I agree...the Friends have enough of their own action to publicize. They do it decently in their quarterly Dispatch newsletter to members.
It's absolutely NOT their job to speak for the C&TS.
And it confounds me also that there is no GM replacement for Tim Tennant. He was good at giving out JUST enough info to keep the lid on the curiosity pot.
I give up. Screw it. My head is bloody, but the stone wall shows nary a scratch.
