Holy Cow! This brings back memories. My family owned a beat up '51 chevy when I was a teenager that we used for errands around town. IIRC it had an iron case slushbox (powerglide) and a 235 under the hood. If you turned a corner too quickly, the opposing door had a tendency to fly open... which was thrilling in a car with no seat belts!!!! I worked on '37,'46,'48,'51,'53,'56,'57 chevy passenger models when I worked in an auto repair shop in high school (and this was in the 70's in KS), but I don't think I've ever touched a '52.
