I suppose that it could be something in the MS mapcontrol. I don't really know enough about the under the hood stuff to fix it. I'll wait and see if anything gets mentioned on the VirtualEarth dev site. I don't really have time to install Minefield and use firebug to try to see what is going on. If Google had all the high res coverage I need I would switch over to avoid these problems.
