I am in need for a model project. My uncle gave me two partial cans of a creosote stain he bought back in the 60's and it was labeled as 'real creosote formula'. My guess it was much diluted compared to the tar material that is used in the real world under temperature and pressure. It did have the distinct odor which is one of the things I'm after. Unfortunately, I used it all up and need a bit more. Please do realize I'm a chemist by trade so I'm fully aware of the issues with creosote and it's proper handling techniques. Mixing dye stuffs will be my last option.
