The Colorado & Northwestern trucks were from a Barney & Smith gondola that apparently found its way to the Stoddard Logging Co. as their #705, where it was abandoned after falling down an embankment. Someone from the re-built SVRY apparently found it and brought it back to Sumpter, where it was later destroyed in a brush fire. When I visited the SVRY a couple of years ago, both trucks were there along with the cast body bolsters and a few other small parts. One of the distinctive queenposts used on the C&N cars, and several others have been recycled on a caboose.
These parts represent the only known remnants from a C&N gondola. Except for a boxcar at the Colorado Railroad Museum, these represent the only surviving remnants of C&N freight equipment that I have been able to locate.
