More than 1,500 tickets were sold. The train was to have been run every half hour but with the large crowd the schedule was speeded up. A five-car train was used, three former Georgetown Loop open cars, the 280 and 284.
It was standing room only during the middle of the day. The weather kept getting colder but the snow held off until after the museum closed.
