Dennis, I'd be the last to suggest that it isn't harmful, particularly when you literally bathed in the stuff putting it on and taking it off. My complaint is with the lengths the government goes to ensure it's safe removal. The implication is that any escaped fibers can be fatal and therefore we have to build a clean room to remove it. Proper respiration and reasonable containment should suffice. The authorities act like they're dealing with plutonium.
