Another album cover featuring 463 at the Melody Ranch is Johnny Western's compilation Heroes & Cowboys.
Some highlights of Johnny Western's career include working as a singing cowboy for Gene Autry, writing the Ballad of Paladin for the TV series, playing guitar for Johnny Cash for years. For the last 15 years, Johnny has been a DJ in Wichita and makes several appearances each year at major western music events. Johnny also was at the throttle of UP 8444 for a few miles on one of her early excursions.
