There was a good ar ticle in the 1969 Colorado Rail Annual about this little 30 mile road in the tundra .The Climax was converted into a gas locomotive after the railroad went to sporadic operation around 1920 . The railroad ran on and off till sometime in the 1950s , with motorcars as the power. I think there might be the remains on a very old H.K. Porter 0-6-0 there at Nome . It is not on the railfan beat ,so little is known about the road or what happened to its equipment .
