Here is the aforementioned gas contraption. I memory serves, it began life as one of the Venice "Narragansett"-style cars, was converted into a homebuilt coach similar to the one in the photograph, and finally into this "thing." It was subsequently rebuilt by Don McCoy into a Pacific Electric boxcab during the No. 1's brief operation at Legg Lake in South El Monte.

The park also had, briefly, additional steam built by the late Oscar Coffman of Reseda, CA. Pretty homely machines. One may have been the one that ended up at Frank Bayliss's in East Alton, CA, and the other possibly owned by Bert Beecher of Oregon. Another was in Wisconsin is now owned by Ron Trottier of Railstar fame.
