As I read the posts in this thread I can only relate it to many threads I've been involved in over the last couple years. All I can say is that it's OK to learn new things and it's OK for people who have the knowledge to let those who don't what is correct and not correct with whatever topic that is being discussed. I still learn something new about the Narrow Gauge each week but I go out and seek inforamtion and when I find out that something I thought was fact is not really fact I accept it and move on knowing that I learned something. Preserving our history correctly and accurately is what we should promote. Many outsiders come here to get the truth about various topics and many threads have began with that exact question. I'd say put your feelings aside and if somoeone who know's something and they "school" us on it we should be grateful they took the time to ensure we get the facts--like Mike Trent has done in this thread. Don't attack those who actually can teach us a thing or two--we've lost too many people with knowledge already. I know I've still got a lot to learn, but that is a passion of mine so it's fun.
