Larry: In the eleven years that I've been going to this part of Colorado I've NEVER seen as much snow! It has all been made worse by the fact that there have been REALLY significant winds in the area, thus the snow has been moved around and packed very tightly. We crossed the tracks about six times and you couldn't tell where they were!

I recall that, in addition to the area from Coxo to Cumbres, the part of the RR that ran through the Los Pinos valley from roughly MP 326 to MP 322 was one of the worst areas for snow packing in.

Others with alot more experience than I, could probably tell you how difficult opening the line this year will be!
