You're right, Bob, Michigan California Lumber was a unique operation. Another narrow-gauge lumber line in the same area was the Diamond Caldor Lumber Co. at Diamond Springs, CA, five miles south of Placerville, CA. I was in Placerville last week, and the enginehouse at Diamond Springs is still standing! I couldn't believe my eyes!
