Read the part about 00 again as it sounded familiar and realized they were quoting my OA-OZ book in part, but the part about it being the smallest was not in my book.

What is interesting is that the D&RGW planned to bring 00 from Gunnison to Alamosa to replace OM, but the trainmaster of the last train out of Gunnison was afraid to haul it over Marshall Pass. Bob Richardson said he claimed that they did not have enough cars in the train to provide braking for 00. The D&RGW did not want to send a special train for it, so it was left behind and scrapped. Guess if they would have gotten it to Alamosa, OM would be gone now.
