071 was used on the narrow gauge several times (last time was 1923 on Marshall Pass). What the D&RGW did was to use the trucks and tender from ON while the ON was in the shop. Very simple to lift it in the shops and switch trucks. There is nothing in the D&RGW records to indicate that it came with a set of narrow gauge trucks. But, with the exception of Rotary 00, the others had standard gauge trucks with narrow gauge wheel sets, so a switch was easy. 00 came from the builder with two sets of trucks as the Crystal River had narrow gauge and standard gauge lines. There is nothing to indicate that 00 was ever used on the standard gauge by the D&RG.
