Another nice RWR shot. The caption on the DPL site is wrong, this obviously is NOT Goose 2, but in fact the remains of Plow Flanger 02 after it left the rails for the final time. Over the years, 02 fluttered down many an embankment and up until this time it was always rescued, rebuilt and returned to service. If I recall right, Rotary 2 was already irreparably damaged and out of service (under what I've heard were highly suspicious circumstances, but that's another story...). The derailment of Plow Flanger 02 left the RGS with no snow fighting equipment. The end was imminent.
