At the time that picture was taken (1936), the C&S had leased 3 locomotives from the D&RGW, 343, 345 and 346, due to increased business on the line to Leadville. The C&S appied the Ridgway spark arrestor to all three. BTW, you'll notice the domes on 346 are different from other engines of the same class. In August, 1936 she ran away and rolled over on Boreas Pass, suffering quite a bit of damage. The C&S rebuilt her with mis-matched domes.-- Ed
