No the correction is correct. The Divide runs through Willow Creek which is West of Chama. Willow Creek is not very exciting at all, check some of the books for photos. It always seems more "romantic" that the Divide ran through the Cumbres Pass.
Next time you are in Chama and headed for Durango, there is a marker on the highway for the divide about ten minutes west.
