The SVRy did pretty good as far as the amounts of surviving locomotives are considered then, I have read that that shay was fairly well traveled too, went all over the western US (this is a great page about it:sn-3345) If only the No. 50 were still around... maybe she is, at some loco dump in Peru, or atleast part of her, her boiler, frame, or wheels... It makes you really wonder dosen't it?
