Dave,

I have a question. Please forgive me but I'm trying to learn a bit more and understand the Leadville area. You identify and posted a picture of the Matchless Mine, but in the location of the Famous Mine. Wasn't the Matchless Mine on Fryer Hill, and not some distance east?

I had always thought the Famous Mine (sometimes called the Fortune Mine) had nothing to do with the Matchless. See [www.lornet.com]
