D&RGW Lighting questions

In reviewing photos I can not find an image that shows the wing number boards on the D&RGW/ RGS Pyle type headlights that show the number boards illuminated. So the question: is there a light behind these number boards and were they used? A related question would be for the earlier box style headlights that had side number boards and illumination or lack thereof of these numbers.

Then a related question regarding the radius class marker lamps that were mounted on the smoke box. Again I don't have a good image to refer to but was wondering if they contained both white (extra) and green (following section) glass lenses and if they were just rotated in the holder as required per train order.
