Man a full days labor was just that....

When I flipped to the next entry it was for an "extra" train for the same date - Oct. 1, 1904.

So at Vance Junction the double headed engines tied up their train and hooked on to another one going back up Lizard head Pass.

This train consisted of :

Boxcar D&RG #4471, 21 tons "ore" bound for Durango.
Boxcar D&RG #3485, 25 tons "ore" bound for Durango.
Boxcar D&RG #3403, 20 tons "ore" bound for Durango.
Boxcar D&RG #3200, 23 tons "ore" bound for Durango.
Boxcar D&RG #3273, empty, bound for Ophir.
Caboose RGS #0404.

At Ames the train stopped and added on:
Boxcar D&RG #4051, 11 tons "ore" bound for Durango.

Train Continued to Ophir, and switched out empty boxcar #3273, and then added:
Boxcar D&RG #3201, 25 tons, ore bound for Durango.
Boxcar D&Rg #3558, 25 tons, ore bound for Durango.

At the top of Lizard Head this train was tied up, and the two engines and caboose 0404 head back down to vance junction, to pick up the train that they had left their (earlier post).
