CHS Paint Job Question

November 03, 2007 11:33AM
I was looking at the beautiful restoration job that the SV is doing on the Porter that the CHS is going to tear apart on the Loop. Nice work guys but....

The thought struck that the colors (probably specified by the CHS) are definitely that of the D&RGW. Much like the new "Georgetown Loop" logo.

Why? The C&S and the Loop is not and never was part of the D&RGW.

Wouldn't the Porter look a bit more like a C&S Diesel if it was painted the old Black and Gray that the CB&Q used on their switchers before the BN merger?

I know that it's nitpicky and is just a whine, but if the CHS is supposed to be so damned persnickity on "historic accuracy" why don't they get their Railroads right?
