Guayaquil & Quito 2-8-0 #58, Builders No. 75590, was the last narrow gauge steam locomotive built by Baldwin (actually Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton), in 1953. This 42" gauge loco, along with sister #53, from the same order batch, were still operating within the last couple of years, but with washouts and the elimination of government subsidies, the railroad is only operating over a portion of the route. It is unlikely that they will ever run again.
