You can always adjust the settings so that each picture stays on the screen for only 10 (or 15) seconds - then it would only take about 14 (or 21) minutes to view them all ...
There are some of John's and Tom's on there that I spent HOURS retouching or getting the color balance just right - and enjoyed every minute of looking at them - so you might want to set your timer to 20 or 30 seconds each ... and after a while set the display to random order. (The photos are in chronological order on the screen saver - December '61 through Decmber '68.)
