I have several of Greg's videos of both the D&RGW and the C&TS, and they are excellent.

IF - and only if - you have a computer with plenty of memory and some extra space on the hard drive, I also highly recommend the screen saver "Narrow Gauge Over Cumbres, The Transition Years - Volume 1, the 1960's", available from Roger Hogan in Chama. 100% of the proceeds from this CD are deposited in a special fund set up by The Friends for the restoration of C&TS first engine, ex-D&RGW #483. These are normally $20, but if you tell Roger "Russ sent me" and affirm that you are a mere whippersnapper of 15 - and not even close to becoming a cantankerous old curmudgeon like me - he will probably sell you one at the student discount price of $15.

Only about two dozen of the 83 hi-res photos on the screen saver are mine, of D&RGW's very last revenue freights in late August, 1968; most of the rest are from well-known photographers John West and Tom Gildersleeve, and cover the years 1961-1967. We are still working on Volume 2, the 1970's ...
