Believe me, if my parents still lived in Bend I would use that as an excuse to buy them a tree 800+ miles from my current residence! (And maybe take just a few photos.) But as the Fillmore & Western (NNG) is only 20 miles away, and will be running Tree Trains in December similar to the Pumpkin Trains they're running this month, I will probably stick somewhat closer to home.
... on the other hand, both F&W steamers are out of service, and there is nothing quite like a steam engine in sub-freezing weather ...
