Ross,

Yes, 490 had a unique upper grabiron. In the 60's #492 received this smokebox face, 490 had been scrapped, and 492's was damaged. 492 probably still has 490's face with the upper grabiron.

#491 also has a one of a kind face. It's grabiron is lower than the others. All others are the same.
