Getting to Chama

I need some advice. I have to choice of flying in to Durango or Alamosa this summer in order to get to Chama. The major difference between the two cities is the type of airplane(neither of which I have been on). If I fly into Durango, I will fly on a Fairchild-Dornier 328 that carries 30 some passengers. If I fly into Alamosa, I will fly on a Beechcraft 1900 that carries 19 passengers. Which is more comfortable for a overweight man who uses a cane? Which is safer?
Thanks
