Georgetown Update

Hi gang! For those intrested here is a list of things going on at the Loop.
As of Saturday ex IRCA 2-8-0 # 44 is nothing but a fram on a dolly. Her drivers will be heading out for turnig and new tires as needed. The boiler has been sent to our boiler makers shop in Denver were it will receive a new rear flue sheet and possibly a new front sheet. We are also replacing approx. 24" of firbox sheet on the sides. With luck (lots of it) she should return to steam in 2002.
The 12 is next in the shop. She needs new tires on the front two axles which is polanned to be done at Durango. Also at this time we will be replacing a section of line shaft and gears as needed. All of the line shaft bearings will be inspected and adjusted so that the gear mesh is better. Well that about covers it for now. Stay tuned for futher updates.
