Hope this email finds you well.
We received your letter requesting information on the current status of the
railroad system in El Salvador.
The Autonomous Executive Port Commission, CEPA (Comision Ejecutiva
Portuaria Autonoma), administrates the international airport, ports, and
the National Railways of El Salvador (FENADESAL). The rail service was
suspended in October 2002, however, rolling stock and locomotives are not
for sale.
Due to the construction of a new port in the eastern part of the country,
Cutuco Port, CEPA is interested to reactivate the railroad system again.
