D&RG narrow guage auto haulers?

January 25, 2004 01:26AM
Ran across a reference to D&Rg narrowguage boxcars with end doors, for auto hauling. What were they used for really, or was there enoguh of that kind of traffic, circa 1925 to justify their use, and where were they used at? They were car numbers 4400, 4402, 4425.4433.4435.4437.4451.4456.4457.4478.4487.& 4490.
