I too have a vague memory of a bridge, John -

And for a long time thought you had hiked along the south side of El Cañon del Rio de los Pinos to get that first shot, but it's actually a location where both D&RGW and C&TS charters have stopped for photos several times over the past 60 years.  There's a great view back toward Tunnel #2, and plenty of room for 50 or 60 phraud-o-graphers to spread out along the hill.  Here's a shot from The Friends' MOW charter in early October of 2015:


I think the autofocus on my FZ-100 is off, 'cause even to my tired old eyes the above looks a lot fuzzier than it should.
