Russo, I love the pic of the AFT you had at the link. I like the 4449 in the AFT scheme, but not better than the Daylight one.
We mainly use Jarrah wood for our timber sleepers in Western Australia, and some Marri as well, but most new work is going is as either concrete (on the standard gauge lines) or steel mixed with either concrete or timber (on the narrow gauge lines). I go out when they are resleepering the narrow gauge lines and pick up the suitable old jarrah sleeper from the mid-70's through to the mid-80's in age (date nails in the sleepers range from around 1972 through to 1986) for my garden beds.
