Hi,
Thanks for the clarification. I seem to be having more trouble keeping details separate during the past 6-odd months.
What I was thinking, even if there is no foreseeable need to restore any of the trestle-come-culvert, If the office work is planned correctly and the location for the pilings are identified, The pilings could be driven in the proper locations (as long as it does not interfere with the existing track) and having the pilings already more-or-less properly located would mean that if the desire to restore the trestle, some work will already be done. It might be that the completion of the trestle restoration may drop the final price tag by 5-10%.
Someone more familiar with the railroad would be better than myself in justifying this approach.
Just a thought for gaining additional benefit from display demonstrations.
FWIW.
