The Bachelor Switch was a siding located about where the current road to Whispering Pines subdivision crosses the old grade (County Rd 17). Ore from the Bachelor (later the Bachelor Syracuse) was loaded onto D&RG box cars at this siding. There were plans for a while to run a tram line from the Bachelor Syracuse to the old Banner American Mill but that never happened. The Banner American Mill was located on the east side of the river where Panoramic Heights subdivision is located today. Ore from the Banner American Mill was also shipped loaded at the Bachelor switch.
