I'm too lazy this evening to find the recent question about the "Drain Daily" stencil on engine air tanks, but did come across this 1940s era photo of the 478 which clearly shows that admonition. This was a significant photo for me--it was my first rail photo that was given to me as an 8-year-old and it ultimately played an important part in my later life's decisions about where I wanted to end up living. Being here in Silverton for the last 45 years is all because of this photo:
