Hi, All -
I'm tired of hijacking the "Favorite K-36" thread - and having posted an incorrect date (since corrected) for one of my own photos there, I thought it best to post a series of photos of what is clearly the September 22 Moonlight Dinner Train to Osier.
To show that the Dinner Train was NOT double-headed, here's a series of slides from the same roll, following by a few moldy-oldie black-&-whites from two additional rolls, SFICT all taken on September 22, 1972.
Servicing #483 prior to departure. The warm afternoon light is clearly coming from the west
:
Three slides later, same roll, we're crossing Lobato trestle. Unfortunately, long lenses in those days didn't have image stabilization
:
This one is also fuzzy, but the trees are clearly September Gold, not August Green or October Bare
:
The light was beginning to fade so I switched to much faster, but grainier, Tri-X black-&-white. Still no image stabilization though
:
Some of the B&W shots on the roll show cattle on the track, so the above MAY have been taken in August - the date on the negative holder wasn't clear. (When is the usual Fall round-up?) The following - including a couple of unintended "selfies" - were definitely taken on September 22nd
:
I've posted at least one photo of the following day's double-headed regular passenger train from Chama to Antonito previously -
see fourth photo on [
ngdiscussion.net]. I'll add some more in a separate post tomorrow.

p.s. Is that guitarist Ed Stabler leaning on the telegraphone pole in the last B&W, above? Only
