I was through Pioche, Nevada, on June 6 of this year when traveling from Las Vegas to Ely. I stopped by the Court House to check on the one-time C&NW ng 2-6-0 #279 that later ran on an operation at Pioche.
I found a nice park and ball field developed next to the Court House and the locomotive. Next to the locomotive was a children's playground. And a pavilion to protect the locomotive had been constructed.
I finally got around to posting these photos. I also took some detail photos through the fence.

P.S. Here is the present-day Lincoln County courthouse that was constructed in 1938 with assistance from the WPA. It replaced the still-standing, 1872 brick building. Both are on the National Register of Historic Places.
