Hi Fritz, I have this Fairmont A-6 for sale and I have just lowered the price again.
Fairmont A-6, 36" gauge Gang Car, completely rebuilt/re-manufactured, this is the ultimate motorcar for railroad work or recreational railroading, full suspension with coil springs, gas shocks, rides down the track like a Cadillac. This car was completely disassembled, sand blasted, painted with acrylic urethane enamel and then re-assembled. It has 4 wheel drive, a professionally rebuilt 6 cylinder Ford Industrial motor, transmission and rear differential, new starter, alternator, resurfaced flywheel, new clutch disc, pressure plate and throw-out bearing, heavy duty 20" cast steel wheels (these would cost you $8,000.00 alone), new axle wheel bearings, all new body, glass and weather-strip, wiring, gauges, switches, seat, tow bar, lift handles, high lift jack, and running boards. I ran 500 miles on this freshly rebuilt motorcar on the SVRY, C&TS and D&SNG Railroads in August, 2008. No cost was spared everything is completely rebuilt or new. I have lowered my asking price from $35,000.00 down to $24,500.00 This motorcar is in perfect condition and ready to go. Now asking $18,000.00
