The "General Palmer"

Last time I saw the B-7 was about 15 years ago .It was in sorry shape .Inside it smelled of old leather ,varnish that had turned to dust ,and wet wood . Last night I toured the restored business car .It was beautiful . The car was almost unrecognizable .The stateroom had a complete modern bathroom . A unique wallpaper decorated the clerestory from the modern kitchen to its beautifully panelled drawing room . Antique chairs that once sat in the Diamond Belle now grace the d rawing room . The renovated car has its own electrical system of generator and battery .Mounted in the end of the clerestory in the drawing room is a stereo/disc player , DVD and a TV with a satellite hookup ! Brass railing was fabricated for the observation platform . Truly the finest narrow gauge car on Earth ! Sorry , this is the owner's business car and will not be rented out like the Cinco Animas or the Nomad .
