315 in the "Desert"

Wasn't there a picture of 315 covered with sandbags to represent a train in Egypt in one of the old CRRM Annuals?
One thing is for sure, it wasn't a "Colorado" locale. As I recall, the Farmington Branch was standing in for the Saharah.
Or is this just a fantasy flashback???
