Re: Progress on K-27 Model

Hi to answer some questions..I am building it to the odd scale of 1.167" = 1', this is so it will run on 3.5" track. I thought for a long time about Ulin's engine, but to me its just too darn big. Besides the real problems of something so big, to me at some point in the large scales it is no longer a "model" but a serious engineering project. I do have some of his drawings and they are a big help.

I am using Autodesk Inventor, and have really grown to like it. I have the few drawings from the Maxwell collection and the set that appeared in Model Railroader by Brewster. I have spent a lot of hours trying to get some real drawings over the years...with no luck!

The next thing I am seeking is a drawing of the drivers, I have not been able to find anything on them. A friend and I are doing these as a joint project. Thanks for your comments. Thanks to to ROW Explorer, your pics have been a big help!
